What S2Si provide
- Initial reconnaissance of the proposed area
- Identifying the main areas of political and personal risk
- Assisting and adjusting the treatments
- Producing the required risk assessments, evacuation procedures and communication plans
- Producing medical guidelines and managing the medical clearance procedure for contributors
- Producing the timetable and call sheets
- Filming and other local authority permits/Patronage
- Through our network of consultants, provide all expedition leaders and medics, all of whom have experience in a range of extreme environments
- Providing local staff and transport (4x4, local boats, buses, aircrafts) during delivery of the expedition itself
- Whilst on location, constantly managing the risk and levels of safety, whilst always taking into account the needs of the Producer
- Providing 24/7 back-up and support during the filming/expedition itself
Most importantly, by allowing S2Si to manage the activities whilst in-country, the production company and its production team on the ground are afforded the freedom to concentrate on their job – filming. By taking a step back from the day-to-day liaison with local contacts, partners or fixers, you guarantee that what is suggested in terms of day-to-day activities fits in with the objectives of the Producer on the ground.
Often there is limited time and budget. For example, you may want/need to design certain jeopardy situations and S2Si would be able to suggest and advise on what would and would not work.
The overall objective is to take the majority of the logistics, safety, back-up and management of the expedition out of your hands, which in turn gives the Producer the freedom to concentrate on the aims of the filming itself. This investment in S2Si will allow you the time to secure high-quality footage that will win awards (e.g. RTS / BAFTA), obtain great ratings, and get re-commissioned.
